With shorter daylight hours, cold temperatures and less time spent outdoors, our long drawn out winters can really leave us feeling out of sorts. Winter is the ‘kapha’ season and has qualities that are cold, heavy, wet and windy that can lead us to have a low mood and make us susceptible to colds and flu, conditions such as Reynauds, arthritis, rheumatism and more. Depending on our Ayurvedic body type (doshas), we might respond slightly differently to the elements.
Winter is a time for rejuvenation. It is the season to strengthen our immune system, preserve our energy and stay cosy and warm. We can naturally boost our energy and nurture our body and mind through Ayurvedic rituals, foods and herbs once we know how.
This intimate interactive workshop is designed to help you to learn how to protect your mind and body from the adverse effects of this season.
